Cancellation of 2021 Ligna edition

Today, Deutsche Messe AG and VDMA Woodworking Machinery announced the cancellation of the 2021 Ligna edition due to the uncertainties caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. Until the very last moment, all involved parties fought to realize the Ligna under this challenging environment, to present latest technologies for woodworking and wood processing in person to the global customers in our industry.

Jürgen Köppel, Eumabois President, states: “I very much regret that we had to make this decision, but it is the right decision at the right time. As the world’s leading trade fair in our industry for live demonstrations of machines, production systems and production lines, Ligna is show-casing latest trends and innovations to the audience. Considering this fact, the expectations of visitors and exhibitors from all around the world are high, which is why months of preparation are necessary. Right now, the time had come when both exhibitors and visitors needed planning security. That is why the decision was necessary at this stage, even though we all very much regret it. The focus is now on Ligna 2023, which will certainly meet the expectations in this exhibition as the world’s leading trade fair in our industry, again.”
