Eumabois Code of Conduct
Eumabois represents the common interests of the european WoodWorking Industry since 1960.
1958 -1959
First meeting between French and German associations. It was held in Neuilly, in France, in order to explore an extension of the contacts that agreed to the foundation of a European committee for the wood machinery manufacturers industry. This European countries joined the meeting: Austria, France, Belgium, Germany, Sweden, Great Britain and Switzerland.
Jan 22nd, 1960
During a meeting in Neuilly, the so-called “Comité européen des constructeurs de machines à bois” was founded with the immediate admission of Austria, Switzerland, Germany, France, Great Britain and Netherlands.
1964
The brand name Eumabois and the corresponding logo was adopted.

Structure of Federation

The fundamental bodies of the Federation are the General Assembly, the Governing Board and the General Secretariat.
General Assembly

The General Assembly is composed by delegates of the European national associations who, in turn, represent their member companies. The delegates are accompanied by the Director/Secretary of their national association. The General Assembly is hosted once a year in the various European member countries, on a rotating basis.
The President chairs the General Assembly and represents the organisation at all important events.

Governing Board

The Governing Board consists of 5 Delegates who represent the 14 Member Associations of Eumabois. The Governing Board normally meets twice a year
or whenever necessary. The Fair Committee meets twice a year or whenever necessary. It is formed by representatives of key European companies and considers exhibitions held worldwide. It recommends to the Board and General Assembly the events to support. The “Tool Group” is formed by all the European Tool manufacturers and usually
meets once a year during the major exhibitions.

General Secretariat

The General Secretariat is responsible for supporting the General Assembly and carrying out the general management of Eumabois affairs under the President.
The Secretariat cooperates with the Governing Board for the development of technical and standardization projects, directly or with the support of independent consultants and for the organization of promotional events and “tailored” services
for the European industry of woodworking machinery and tools.
